The trouble is, these things tell you where you “might” want to treat a signal, but it won’t tell how much to boost or cut, or how wide you want the Q or whether it will be better of left to a dynamic eq or a multiband compressor. But most people get hopelessy used to staring whilst dropping and it is an awful thing for recorded music on the whole. That’s a simplistic look and a bit presumptuous. That way it led you to the place/frequency quicker yet you made the decision of where to drop it with your ears.

In my view visual tools can be great, but only if you use them to only find things faster and then actually physically shut your eyes whilst making the adjustment/gain setting.

Only problem with this way of thought is in reality people will depend on the visual way from the start and NEVER let go of it again.
